Our staff was contracted to perform timber cruises on forested stands in accordance with the Common Stand Exam Protocols on USDA Forest Service lands in Wyoming. In 2026, MTM Environmental, LLC was awarded a contract to conduct broadcast call surveys and nest searches across approximately 4,871 acres within the BLM Lander Field Office. The objective is to document the presence of woodland raptors—specifically American goshawks—as well as all other raptor and owl species encountered. Data collected will provide BLM occupancy, habitat, and nest data for raptor species utilizing areas planned for timber harvest within the BLM Lander Field Office and ultimately aid in the protection and management of these species.
