Mississippi Projects

The work our staff completed in Mississippi included timber inventories and forest health inventories for various forested properties. The forests and oak savanna ecosystems of Mississippi contain a high diversity of tree species and are home to an impressive range of wildlife. Bird species in these ecosystems include blue jays, Northern cardinals, and red-bellied woodpeckers, as well as hawks, owls, and other raptors.
